The Association is founded on 31 August 1992 by the following 11 companies, official automobile importers in Bulgaria:

     1. Automotor corporation, importer of Citroen;
     2. Auto Gama, importer of Alfa Romeo;
     3. Bulvaria, importer of Opel;
     4. Bultraco, importer of Honda;
     5. Vanto Trade Auto, importer of Fiat and Lancia;
     6. Varco, importer of Mazda;
     7. Izotimpex-Izotinvest, importer of Peugeot;
     8. Inter Vega, importer of Hyundai;
     9. Moto Pfohe, importer of Ford;
   10. Nissan Bulgaria, importer of Nissan;
   11. ProMobile, importer of Renault.
